Hi everyone! Welcome to my second blog post! I am absolutely delighted to confirm my placement with First Derivatives working in their Headquarters in Newry. I am very excited to be working alongside with the Human Resource and Operations Department!

First Derivatives is a software and services company with world-leading intellectual property in ultra-high-performance analytics (Kx) and extensive domain knowledge and capabilities in capital markets systems and technology.Part of my responsibilities will include:
  • Coach and mentor managers and team leaders to manage employee relations issues
  • Support managers and team leaders to performance manage staff
  • Sickness absence management
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on key HR processes & systems
  • Effectively and accurately issue HR correspondence
  • Work with Learning and Development to upskill and develop managers and team leaders
  • Updating and maintaining data on HR systems
  • Support the HR Manager with projects Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Hi everyone! Back here with another blog post. I know I have discussed in my earlier blog posts about the struggles of being a marketing student, however now I am about to discuss how I am able to cope with life at university during this Coronavirus pandemic outbreak. As fear and anxiety has been significantly rising for myself and I am sure for all of you reading this, I was wondering how any student is suppose to carry on with the rest of semester as the coronavirus was rapidly spreading across the globe including Northern Ireland. Our first announcement we received regarding the Covid-19 outbreak was for our entrepreneurial business venturing class where my class was E-mailed to say that our lectures would take place online due to the uncertainty of the pandemic. Hi everyone! This blog is dedicated towards the development of my careers goals as a marketer. For my Digital Marketing and Analytics module my class and I have been assigned to create 3 professional Social Media Platforms.
